Did you know that YOU SHOULD NEVER WASH YOUR DOG WITH SHAMPOO OR SOAP. Yes I know I have been supporting dog grooming for a awhile but I MUST share this with all of you, So basicly Dogs produce this wax-like substance That covers’ their coat, This substance has this duck-feather-like effect on the coat. Have you ever noticed how water flows off a duck? Well The same is for dogs. Because Of the wax that covers’ their coat, It causes the water to slide off! The wax cat be easyely (or however you spell that) washed off with soap or shampoo. This substance also keeps dogs warm in the winter. Kinda like a fur coat! That means if you use shampoo /soap on your dog it will become very vonoureble to the cold and water which increases their chance of catching disease.
SO PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR DOG TO THE GROOMERS, Unless you have a matt that you cannot brush out. However you must give the groomer instructoins not to use shampoo/soap.
Also the wax-like substence is known as canine seborrhea.
AND IF YOU OWN A LONG FURRED DOG THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO BRUSH, THEN DONT OWN A DOG!
Thank you for Understanding.
Also water is fine for your dog’s coat so don’t worry about gettimg them wet/muddy.
